Like many individuals facing the demands of a city life and fast paced career, Elham is always looking for opportunities to support organisations delivering vital services to the disadvantaged through her endeavors.
During her time as an investment manager in venture philanthropy, Elham spent countless hours scrutinising the delivery model and business model of many social enterprises and charities in search of the most distinctive, sustainable, and impactful to invest in.
Without access to opportunity and a voice with which to seek support, to help meet the practical demands she faced, this expedition would have remained, at best, a dream for her.
Therefore, in conjunction with this expedition Elham is looking to raise funds to support two charities that together:
- reach disadvantaged people nationally as well as regionally/internationally
- improve people's access to opportunity by fostering social mobility, or creating sustainable livelihoods
Alongside her own donation, Elham is very grateful for all public donations to these causes that she believes can create lasting change, and thereby demonstrating our commitment to economic and human development locally and internationally.

Insufficient secondary school places and an inability to pay high fees has left millions of young Ugandans without the opportunity to continue their education beyond primary school. In 2010, PEAS launched their sixth school in Uganda.

Palestine Children’s Relief Fund
The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) is a registered non-political, non-profit organization that was established in 1991 by concerned people to address the medical and humanitarian crisis facing Palestinian youths in the Middle East. It has since expanded to help suffering children from other Middle Eastern nations like Iraq, based only on their medical needs. The PCRF helps to locate free medical care for children from the Middle East who are unable to get the necessary and specialized treatment in their homeland.
